Early Childhood Courses Apply to Child Development Permits

Education Extension's Early Childhood courses are approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). Our program streamlines the application process for child development permits. These classes may be used to fulfill state requirements for Child Development Permits authorized by CCTC.

Level 1—Child Development Assistant Teacher
An Introduction to Early Childhood Studies -- Child Growth and Development
Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum in Early Childhood Education
Level 2—Child Development Associate Teacher, Level 1
Role of Home, School and Community in Early Childhood Education
Observing Children's Behavior
Health, Nutrition and Safety in Early Childhood
A Workshop on the Techniques of Storytelling
Creative Arts for the Young Child
Children at Play: Developmental Changes
Strategies for Reporting Child Abuse in Early Childhood Education
Level 3—Child Development Teacher
Strategies for Reporting Child Abuse in Early Childhood Education
Levels 1 and 2, 18 ECE and 24 GE quarter units
Levels 4-6—Child Development Master Teacher, Child Development Site Supervisor and Child Development Program Director
Strategies for Reporting Child Abuse in Early Childhood Education
