Credentials

University Extension has the following programs:

• Pupil Personnel Services Credential – School Counseling Emphasis and Internship
• Child Welfare and Attendance Credential
• Adult Education/Vocational Education, Special Subjects (Basic Military Drill) and Driver Education and Training Credentials
• Supplementary and Introductory Subject Matter Authorizations in Computers, Mathematics and Science
• Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD)
• Reading Certificate
• Reading Certificate – Biliteracy Emphasis
• Reading and Language Arts Specialist Credential
• Early Childhood Permit
• Resource Specialist Certificate

Fifth Year of Study (courses for clearing a multiple or single subject credential). Out-of-state candidates must already hold a preliminary multiple or single subject teaching credential. Students who have not completed a teacher preparation program should contact the UCR School of Education at (951) 827-5225.

Attention Credential Students
Applicants seeking Reading Certificate, Adult Education, Vocational Education, Driver Education and Training, Reading and Language Arts Specialist or Pupil Personnel Services credentials are required to attend the appropriate Special Orientation Session prior to acceptance into the program.
