Fifth Year of Study Program
CCTC-APPROVED
The new CCTC Fifth Year Study program for professional clear Multiple and Single Subject credentials requires that teachers who are eligible to enroll in a university program complete coursework in advanced mainstreaming, health, computer education, and ELD plus a planned course of study that is approved by the university in advance.
Classes are offered each quarter.

To assist students in completion of the 45 quarter units required for the Fifth Year of Study, Extension offers 12 CCTC-approved credential or certificate programs and 19 UCR Extension certificate programs, in addition to the required courses listed above. Candidates will be required to select a specific certificate or credential program to complete their 45 quarter unit requirement. AB 2210, effective August 30, 2004, requires teachers who are completing a teacher preparation program at another California college or an induction program with a school district check to determine transferability of credit.
